Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is a British-Canadian actress best known for her role in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she earned five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She reprised her role as the lead for the Sex and the City (2008 as well as Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. Her leading role includes Police Academy, Big Trouble from Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 80s. Kim Cattrall will be remembered by her role as Samantha Jones in the HBO sitcom Sex & the City. After moving in the US she began acting in various films and playing minor characters. The first time she appeared was on screen in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars as a Venusian. In the following year following her appearance as an unknown in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most exciting category.
